Hello from the UP of Michigan

Hi and welcome!

Like you, when I lost Timber last spring, I vowed I was not going to another pup. I thought it would be a good time to simplify my life! That decision lasted less than 4 days! By the weekend, I was on the internet and searching. Brought home Bacca about 6 weeks later.

But I couldn't stop at one, so in January, I brought Indy home. Now I have two 14 month old male shelties. You just gotta love 'em!

I agree BarbV.I would have another too but with the economy the way it is especially in Michigan I'm going to have to settle for 1 right now. I have been corresponding with Sheltie rescue of Wisconsin which is the closest rescue to me and have been helping out with donations when I can.

She was a Blue Merle. and it took me a long time to get over her passing. If you want to see her picture go to my site on the forum and you can see pictures of my Jewel , Tasha ,my mixed breed who passed at 14 years old this passed Dec., and my new Sheltie who is now 1, Kiara, aka, Kia.

I'd love to send pictures but I'm a bit technically challenged. If I can get one of my neices or nephew to show me how I'll get them on line. My sheltie angels were pre-digital so that will be a little more involved

Hello, and welcome! I haven't been here all that long myself, but everyone here has made me feel right at home. :yes:
 
Welcome Sue. I too, had decided when my last sheltie passed on, that I wasn't going to get another pup. But I missed the pitter patter of dirty dog feet. Actually I was going to wait for a litter. But found a breeder who actually had a pup that she had kept but felt that she wasn't going to make the height requirement. So that's how I ended up with Lacey.

Because of the logistics of traveling/vacationing with a dog we'll probably stay a one sheltie family. Lacey is my third sheltie.
