Hi everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself and my lovely boy, McFly. McFly is currently 6.5 months old and I think he's so freaking cute and clever! McFly is going to be my next agility partner and he's already started doing some baby agility. I have to say I am so impressed with his enthusiasm so far!

McFly is my first purebred Sheltie. I did have a Sheltie/BC rescue that I lost to a splenic tumour March 2013 at the age of 11 yrs. My heart broke losing her. Because of her temperament, which seemed to be much more Sheltie-like compared to my other BCs, I really wanted a Sheltie as my next partner. I have not been disappointed.

Anyway, glad to be here and looking forward to chatting with the group about these little characters. I originally showed up here looking to find out what age the ears are "set" as in when are they at the point of no return and their appearance/behaviour is fixed for all time. :smile2:

Welcome from the Niagara area of Ontario. He is a sweetheart. Yes they do take a piece of our hearts when they leave us, but it looks and sounds like McFly is doing his best to help you heal.

I am owned by three - all from the same breeder - a sable girl, a tri boy and a tri girl.
 
Hello Helygen, welcome to you and McFly to Sheltie Nation. You are going to love it here, so many nice, knowledgeable people here. You want to drop in for a minute, but end up staying an hour. Thanks for the picture, your little boy McFly is very handsome, good luck on the agility. He will be fun to watch grow and mature into adulthood.

great pic, resembles my Kaleigh....do you have people asking what breed? The coloring confuses people when they look at my woof, and her size being smaller makes them think she is a runt BC or Collie, which cracks me up...she is gaining coat like crazy now, and with the cooler temps it is poofy looking. I wonder if ours descended from similar ancestors...too funny. Her parents are definitely tri colored, she doesn't look like them at all with her black and white coat, and the tan accents. If you look at her dad, you see some of him, but nothing of her mom. She was a one pup litter, and unfortunately, her dad recently came up sterile, so I call her the last hurrah, :lol:
