HELP Brick by Nina Ottosson

Ok.. so help me out here. Bella is 22 weeks old. I buy the "brick" which was in the "medium" level of difficulty. I did a video of her second try ( link is below my signature). it took her about 55 seconds to get all the treats out.

Do you have the brick? If so how can i make it more challenging? You think i could clicker train her to do all the white ones first and so on? How do you utilize yours? I know she is smart but all shelties are, i am just void of ideas...

Bella is great at it! I have a few of these games. Most are the plastic ones, one is wood. Now that I have seen my two do these games, I wish I bought the wood ones. The wood games are actually designed my Nina Ottosson. She apparently sold the rights to her games to a plastic company to mimic her wood games. I thought the the plastic ones would be harder, but no, they are actually easier, at least for my two they are. I believe you have watched my videos on youtube, and you can see how Chinook and Maia both play with them.

I have not figured out a method of 'slowing' them down with them. Chinook is still working on the small bones that come with the Dog Twister (plastic). The bones are just too small for him to take out with his mouth and he cannot paw them out either. I might have to drill a small hole in them and attach a small string so they can lift them out that way. The wood Dog Twister, has small wooden pegs that they dog can actually lift out. Oh well, maybe next year for Christmas, they will get another game.

Oh, what you can do with the white bones in your game, if you want her to be kept busier, is freeze some juice or something in them, and then put them into the game. Once she lifts/flips the white bone, she will be kept busy licking the frozen juice. (the lady that I bought my games from told me that some people are doing this and their dogs love it.)

that sounds like a great idea, especially since Bella is still teething
 
Yes it is but you will have to cover the hole on the top of the bones with something so the juice does not spill out! Or use peanut butter to plug it - a double treat for her!
 
Bella is really working that game. Shelties are smart if the trick involves getting food they are brillant.:smile2:

I was looking into getting the more difficult ones, although we tried to variate the game with putting all treats into jackpot one - sure enough, Che goes straight for that and game is over...
I bet it would make useful tool for people who need to slow down their dogs feeding time...
 
I have no advice...but wanted to say Oh my gosh when did Bella get so big?!?! She's so cute, and is growing up fast!
