Just introducing myself as I am new to this board. I have been owned by shelties since the early 90's and have lived with 5 of them over the years. Currently I have 2, a 1 yr old female biblack and a 3 YO male sable. I used to be a "big" dog person until I had my first sheltie and that was it for me- I am hooked forever. They have all been such wonderful companions and all have passed to quickly- they should live forever. I have both of my 2 current shelties in agility and Mac (the male) has begun to compete and done well so far. Pepper (female) is just in the early stages and may begin to compete this winter. Obedience and agility are wonderful ways to get to know how to speak to your furbuds--all my furbuddies have taught me great lessons and I can only hope I do them justice in return. I will post pictures when I work through how to do it. Thanks.

Welcome Woof from NE

Where in the northeast are you from?? I live in the White Mountains of NH. Just past where the old Man of the Mountains once hung so majesticly. I have 2 dogs Kiara is a 5 month old Sable and White, Tasha is my mixed breed whose has recently been diagnosed with the onset of kidney failure. And I have a Blue Merle Sheltie Angel, Jewel, my soulmate.

Welcome to the group.

I'm Judy and l live in Central Florida. I am owned by two lovely scamps. Brandi 4, and Kadin 2. I also work for Sheltie Rescue in my area and am foster mom of four at this time. Skipper a sable merle age 11, Maggie a sable and white age 5, Sammy a shaded sable age 7, and Lassie sable and white age 1. Lassie just might not make it too far in the foster program she is such a love I may keep her...

Welcome to the group. I myself am owned by three Sheltie girls. I was like you a "big dog" person always having Goldens since I was little but after loosing both of my dogs last year, I had my mind set on Shelties. We adopeted one in June, August and February. Just a little crazy about them! Can't wait to hear your stories and see pics!

I live in the seacoast area of NH and am familiar with the ol man who went to rubble. Do you do agility?

I use to live on the Seacoast, at Hampton Beach. We ran the Voyager on Ocean Boulevard. We ran it for 5 years. I don't do agility. I can't afford the equipment to train her and there is none around here as far as I know.
