Hi!

Your Great Dane is HUGE :eek2: and Gorgeous. They are such gentle giants. My mom does critical care therapy with her setter (Sassy) at a children's hospital and the dog that my mom and Sassy are partnered with is a Great Dane. What a fantastic Dog.

Your puppy is cute too

I hope you have fun here!

The Dane and pup are doing okay with each other. I think Rocky's timid nature is helping out. Achilles has spent more time downstairs around the rest of us today as compared to the past two days, so that is progress. They haven't really gotten to play together yet because when Achilles actually decides he wants to play, I think he scares Rocky a bit and so the playing stops before it ever really begins.

Danes are usually good with smaller breeds. My in-laws have a Dane and a Westie. I was concerned about Achilles being jealous when we brought another dog into the family, but he's been better than I would have expected. We got Rocky rather suddenly, so there wasn't any planning or introducing ahead of time like I'd have liked to have happen.

One night when my husband was working, I slept with my Dane on one side of me and the pup on the other! :)

Hello, everyone! I'm so excited to have found a Sheltie forum. I have a 3-year-old Great Dane and have been part of a Dane forum for quite a while and have found it SO helpful. I've just recently come into possession of a Sheltie pup that has totally melted my heart and it seems as though he will be joining our family. :) I had a Sheltie when I was a kid, so I don't feel totally unprepared. I'm especially excited to get to see everyone's pictures!

Hi Beryl, welcome aboard. This is a very nice forum. You will find a lot of good info here and help.
