The past few days Cali and I have spent alot of time outside since its been so nice and the rain has FINALLY stopped! We have of course been doing alot of playing and she also has been coughing and throwing up. It has not been like food sick stomach throw up, its more like mucousy spit/slobber. She is very good about throwing in the towel when she is tired out and will stop whatever she is doing and run right to the house waiting to be let in. Usually she will go right to her water bowl and takes a drink, then goes to a cool spot, lays down and rests. Now its the same thing, only she coughs, gags and then throws up the mucous. The past 2 days it has only been 1 or 2 times after playing but today she has done it atleast 5 or so times so far. Nothing but mucous ever comes out so I am pretty sure she is not inhaling any grass or anything so what else could it be? It is definately starting to get a bit warmer outside, but today was nice and cool so I don't think its the heat either. Could she just be drinking too fast or pushing herself just a tad too far? After she calms down and stops panting, she is right back to normal bringing me toys to play some more. Is this anything I need to worry about or is it just her pushing it too far?
