How much time do you train for agility

Judging by this weekends results... NOT ENOUGH.

Storm went 1 for 5 this weekend picked up a Gamblers Q that I wasn't really expecting with a nice 66 point run, but then she blew off 2 steeplechase runs and 2 Stds with blown contacts and weave entry's... she seemed to develope an adversion to Yellow , Of course at practice friday night before the trial sat & sunday thats exactally what we practiced for a solid 1/2 Hr and she was Perfect at both, AUGG.

She was just juiced up both days and I couldn't seem to get her to settle even running the crap out of her between rounds outside didn't help, you could see went I sat her down at the start line she was like just ready to shoot out the barrel of a gun.

Cosmo had a decent adv Std run no faults but due to some miscommunication right at the end of the run which caused him to stop dead and look at me for the right direction we were over on time by 1.5 sec, so no Q but at least it wasn't 10 sec like at last trial and it was my error to boot.

I think we've all had weekends like that. I know I have and still do all the darn time! Some days they are just so ramped up and we don't know why. You might want to reflect and see if there was something going on with you this past weekend that may have made you more anxious. They really read us and feed off of our anxieties. Just a thought :biggrin2:

WE actually didn't have such a bad weekend as we brought home 5 first place
ribbons out af 6 events, we just came up short on Q's due to faults but so did most everyone else. Yea I was a bit wound myself as I was hoping she would get her title this trial.

Some tough courses too the adv std run 32 dogs 2 Q's, same with the saturday steeple chase course I think 60 something dogs produced less then 5 Q's
and there was like a dozen flat out eliminations.

not enough, I am sure...
thank goodness for Sheltie smartness and for latent learning!
It's enough for what little I want to do, and for just competing and training for fun

Sounds like a good weekend overall!
