how to fix accidents

my 9 yr old sheltie has been having accidents on the carpet... I can put him out all i want and its like hes too good to pee outside, he likes the warmth of the house. Does anyone know how to fix this? thanks
 
Have you had the dog checked for a UI infection? Maybe a good check up is in order.
When you rule out any thing medical...even at 9 years old,I think I would go back to puppy 101. Crate or tether the dog to you whenever it is not crated.

But if this a new issue,I think I would be headed for a checkup & panel done.
