Shelby's mom

For those we don't know Shelby has major issues when she sees or hears kids playing basketball or riding skateboards. If she is outside she will run the fence and bark. Inside she will jump at the windows and bark. This started after a kid was teasing her while he was playing basketball. She is not agressive nor upset just overly excited to the point of exhaustion. Nothing you can break her focus on this. For this reason she must be crated when we are not home as frequently there are a lotof kids outside our home.
We have been working very had the past year and a half on this. Well the past two times I came home and saw the kids outside I was pleasently surprised to find her not carrying on. I didn't say anything thinking my husband and her just didn't know they were there. But when he told me she was on the chair watching for me to come home I knew they had to know the kids were out there. When I asked what he did to quiet her he said he just sternly said to her "enough" and she came over to him and sat down. This is a first that we didn't have to move to the basement or distract her with a favorite chew bone.
We had multiple trainers tell us it would be almost impossible to stop this behavior so I hope this is the beginning of prooving them wrong!
