Incubation Time for Tick Borne Disease

I searched a bit on the forum, but didn't find anything. What is the incubation time for tick borne diseases?

Lexi had 2 ticks on her (embedded) last week. Both dogs are due for a SNAP test soon, so I just want to make sure that I wait enough time that the test shows a more accurate result.

Not sure about dogs. With me it was 8 days before I showed symptoms. I think the rash shows up 6-30 days after being bit.
 
If I remember correctly I think it can take up to 4 weeks to test positive. I remember both myself and Shelby had to have it repeated just to make sure it was truly negative.
