You know that's one of my favorite venues :) But I'm sorry to hear that Cran still wasn't comfortable with the jumps. Do you think you will continue trialing with him? I love how he tries so hard for you!

I'm glad you and Dixie Qd even though you fell down in JWW--she was such a good girl to stay with you! I think maybe Enzo would have nibbled at me until I got up, or maybe made up his own course!

well honestly, I just wanted that last Jww Q- he has two at 16". I was really hoping to get it there so I could put him in Preferred. he does great at 12" outside but again, I don't know how he'll do in an arena situation. I may run him at 12" at the next Nadac trial- they don't care if you go back and forth between Proficient and Skilled- you pick one for that weekend and the next trial you can run at the other height. I may stop competing with him in AKC if he still has trouble in the arena at 12". we can still do Nadac- that's 3 local trials a year and some more within a couple hours.

Dixie- she did good checking on me..... that was our only Q of our whole trip and it was the last run we did. I joked with everyone that if I'd known all it took was falling, I would have done it on Saturday:pop
making up their own course- I do have problems with that sometimes:rolleyes2:

well, all our competitions are in horse arenas (unless we travel) but all our practice is outdoors on grass with natural light- so you would think that we'd be used to it by now......

honestly, the AC doesn't really matter to my dogs. we practice year round outdoors so they are used to working in the heat. No one wants to have outdoor trials in the heat and I understand but two 30-60 second runs in a day wouldn't really phase them. it would be the waiting all day to have the runs that would be the bad part.
