Indy acting weird!

Ok, indy is a food hound....he inhales his food, and can't wait for me to leave for the day so he can get his treat.

I've started giving the boys a dental treat, Whimzees (kinda like Greenies) once per day.

Up until a few days ago, indy scarfs it in about 5 minutes.

Suddenly, though, he eats about half of it and then carries the final piece in his mouth while pacing around in circles. Eventually, he settles but still with that final bite held in his jaws!

It's bizarre! Like I said, this only started a few days ago.....and I've been given it to him for months. It's been 2 hours, and he is still holding it in his mouth.

Any ideas?

I suspect he cracked a tooth. He wants the chew but doesn't want to chew it but wants to makes sure no one else gets it.

Deska walks around the house with long chew treats in his mouth and cries. He does it for ages before he will settle and eat it. Funnily my previous sheltie, Benson, did exactly the same thing, so I just figured it was a male sheltie thing.

Minnie (female) do exactly the same when she gets a specific chrew roll.

I think she seemed it is boring, but at last she lies down and begins to eat it.

So today he got a puzzle stuck.

No problem. He chowed it down right away. Yesterday I gave him a cheese chew and he did the same thing. Thoug ph I noticed that I overnight the cheese chew disappeared


I was thinking sore teeth as well, but a bull pizzle is harder to chew than a whimzee

I don't know if he is staring to have senior brain farts? He is only 7.
