Indy's panting....

He pants and pants and pants......

Usually when he's excited or hot....but sometimes he just pants for no reason. And sometimes he coughs and gags shortly after a little barking spree.

Makes me wonder if he may have some respitory issue that should be looked at.

Sometimes they pant when in pain. Is there any issue with joints etc?

molly will do it to be obnoxious when she wants someone to pay attention to her....Or sometimes she'll do it too if you look at her and say her name...its kinda like a happy pant..but if your worried about it than have a vet check him out.

My Danny Boy has started coughing/gagging after barking too. When he goes in to see the vet soon I am going to mention it. Danny pants when it gets over 68 degrees F. Every day at four in the afternoon he starts panting - he wants food and a walk.

I remember you asking me if Treesa panted. Actually she does a fair bit but I don't really think I am worried about it. I'll also be interested to hear what folks have to say.
