Interesting info about dog vision

In doing research on Kis's eyes I came across interesting research about dog vision. Dogs have amazing vision that is so different to ours.

- Dogs can perceive infrared. It's believed they 'see' infrared and thermal radiation through their nose.
- Dogs can see the magnetic field. They have receptors in their eyes that sense the magnetic field - along with some other animals (such as birds).

Anyway, thought I'd share because it's just so gosh darn cool. So when you feel sorry for your dog when they can't find the ball on the grass, just remember, it's probably feeling the same way about us primatives who only see with our eyes and need maps to find our way home.

I was wondering that's also how they pick up when people are sick, by a change in their aura. And maybe they can see when an earthquake is going to happen or storms (Deska was always able to warn me when rain was coming so I could get the washing off the line).

That could explain a lot about why our pups can pre-detect somethings before they actually happen.
