Hi, my Tipper is blind. We just found out March this year. He has detacted retinas. The vet opthamologist said he'd been blind for awhile but was so good at acting like he wasn't. Tip always loved getting on the couch and lay there. We started noticing he'd walk up to it, back up a few steps & rock back & forth. Then he would hop up. His eyes were clear at that time. This started last summer. By Feb. this year we could really tell something was up.
his eyes were kind of foggy. Our vet thought it might be cataracts. So he set us up an appt. with the opthamologist. When he examined his eyes that's when we found out it was detached retinas. He said the cataract look in the eyes was where the eyes will do that until they turn white. This may not be the case for Miko but I thought knowing how it happened with Tipper might help you. I hope things go well for him & it's nothing serious.
