both my girls went through a stage where they were just bad bad bad around 1 year old. Just when I would say, wow, one year already, that went fast and they are so good. BAM. They turned into terrors. Just be persistent and patient. By 18 months all should be well.

Thanks for all the feed back. This is new to me. Maverick NEVER went through this stage. Well he probably did but was out of it by 11 months.
It is suppose to warm up and getting out of the freezing point soon!!

How can anyone even exist in -40 degrees; I would not be walking a dog outside either. I cannot even imagine that cold!!!! Fetching and playing in the basement will be something a dog can get used to. This winter, probably mild compared to yours, I am out with Sandstorm in 20 degree weather on weekends for an hour in the a.m. My husband takes him for another hour in the afternoon. But on weekdays, after work when the sun is not as strong, he only gets a total of 45 min to an hour of outside play. In the warmer weather he gets more. Sandstorm has gotten used to this, he is 1 1/2 yrs old.

Sorry Canadian habit I am talking in Celsius. Some days with the wind..yes it gets that cold. It is suppose to warm up, yesterday afternoon it was in the 30sF.
