[FONT="]Hi sheltie lovers. I just got a new situation with my 10-month Jazz. We did not sleep already 2 nights, our sheltie still barking, howling, crying ...... is nervous, running here and there .... and during the day it is not better. The nearest female dog s living over 500m from of us, but our madman it still feels! I go for long walks, get him tired, but it does not help much. He doesn’t seems be even in his toys momently interesting. How long is it take this phase by male dog? If it will take a month or even longer, probably i go crazy ..... [/FONT][FONT="][/FONT]

Until the female, as he can smell, not are "most fertile" anymore 5-10 days

Females can be in heat for a long time (my last was a female Cocker Spaniel and she'd be in heat for up to 3 weeks). Perhaps you could speak to your vet about what to do (if neutering isn't an option), I have a 6 1/2 month old male and sure hope he's not like that when he gets older
