My gosh, where has this time gone. My little unexpected pup is now a year old, on 10/4. Today we had a Sheltie birthday party, with pupcakes and a popcorn catching contest which Juno was an epic fail at. 
They all just bounced off her nose. Fun was had by all 7 Shelties, we were missing 3 of the usual group. I have to say it was a bit bittersweet for me, as last year some of you may recall, we were so happy to celebrate Faith's 12th birthday on Oct 6, having far outlived her prognosis. I had no way of knowing that Juno had been born just two days earlier, and that we would lose Faith on 10/29. It's tough, and yet meaningful, all at the same time.
Juno is super smart, very active and enthusiastic and a bit too bossy sometimes for Meadow. Elijah takes her down every morning to start the day off with. She is super athletic and would probably excel at agility if my knees could take it.
She has kept us all on our toes and laughing as she races around the yard making all kinds of racket with an empty plastic water bottle. She can also settle down and snuggle if I'm doing exercises on the floor.
She wore her party hat longer than I thought she would! Love this girl.
