Katy's getting tested for Cushing's Disease any Advise or Info to share

Katy's Vet did blood panels and Xrays and ruled out some things of concern but she wants Katy to go back in for the Cushing's blood work.

Just wondered what experiences others have had and along with traditional treatments are there other things we can do that can support her that we might no already be doing?

I would be glad to know, vets think that my dog, Max, age 12, might have Cushing’s also. He has some of the signs. He injured his leg, pulled out of it socket and it has been fixed a couple of times. Now the wound keeps opening. I don’t know if that has anything to do with it. We have been diligent about his not biting himself since the first time around. But something is definitely going on here. I would be grateful to know anything that anybody knows about Cushing’s and whether it might affect his ability to heal from an operation. Has the Vet done the blood test? I only ask because the Vet has mentioned it a few times to DH and I but she felt we should explore other issues first. We will be starting medication tomorrow and it holds out hope that it could clear up some big challenges for her that we had thought were a result of her aging.
