I admit, I have no clue how you guys do this or who to even contact. I guess I could contact SSRI see if they are on top of it or not.

Hmmm...just called animal services and they don't have that dog in the system. I asked them what that means since it's still up on their website. They said usually it means it got adopted out. Fingers crossed that the dog is either adopted or in foster care.

I remember seeing this post and I had contacted a rescue group about the sheltie. They were on top of it. Not sure if it was rescued or adopted but it was
not euthanized, I know that for sure. It is horrifying to see these posts where they have only a few days. Rescue usually gets them quickly. Thanks for posting just in case.
 
Glad to hear you did contact someone. The posting on the Kern County site is down. That's good to know.

I'm just glad he's out.
 
Got this reply from the shelter this evening. Seems these folks process information more than being in touch with the pups. Very friendly, which is nice. I’m following up with local sheltie rescues to see where this pup ended up. Seems nobody knows where this sheltie went. He is still all over Sheltie Rescue Facebook pages.

This dog has been on my mind a lot - not knowing what really happened to it. I called the pound and didn't get my answer so I called Southland sheltie rescue who called the pound. Good News! The owner came and got his dog. Big sigh of relief.
