Lacy's first class

I have been working with Lacey at a local park with a friend (Dawn) and her dogs. We work on jumps and weaves. She has been doing really well, but I really needed training myself so that I know how to handle her. I found a trainer who happens to live very close and we had our first lesson today!

It was a really good experience. Lacey went on the A frame, the dog walk and the teeter. All things I have never done or had any idea how to go about teaching a dog to go on.
I learned about two up and two down.Everything was done in a very positive way Lacey got nothing but praise and and treats. After a few times she really seemed to understand what was expected of her. I now have homework to do with her, and we will have our other training session at the park too. It was a very good experience for both of us and I'm really glad I found this trainer.

We're on our way!

I'm so excited for you, Judy!! Just know this sport is addictive!! :wink2: Lacey is going to be a star!! Ever since I met her, I've been hoping she'd get to do agility. Love that baby.....are you both ready for a ton of fun??? Love you!

Thank you Dawn.

I was very lucky to find this trainer who's facility is very close to me, less than 5 miles and I didn't even know she existed before.

She is very highly regarded, has some extremely highly ranked dogs and was just a dream to work with. She was so sweet and kind with Lacey, everything was all good. It made all these new and kind of scary things ok to her.

I'm gong to have Ron come along again in a few weeks and take a few pictures of her as she progresses.

Sounds like a lot of fun for both of you! You're lucky to have found such a great trainer to guide you on your way. Look forward to seeing agility pics of Lacey :smile2:
