Lazer pointer.....

I may have posted this on another thread already....if so, I apologize for being senile.....

So I found a lazer pointer that I bought a few years ago and forgotten about. I think I bought it for Bacca but honestly cannot remember what his reaction was to it at the time.

So I find this again. Indy is just in crazy heaven over this.....going ape chasing this light beam (careful always to never have it pointed at the eyes, of course!).

Bacca is totally oblivious to it. I pass the beam directly in front of him and he doesn't even notice it.

Could he be colour blind? Or otherwise visually impaired? There other are times when I wonder about Bacca's eyesight.....sometimes I'll open the door to let him in or out and he'll just stand there looking stupid.

Thoughts?

Barb,
I think it's like how some dogs seem to be able to see TV and make sense of it and some don't. Sometimes Pyper won't come in when I open the door, because Lexi is very imperceptively(to me) intimidating her. His eye sight may be fine, but it wouldn't hurt to have him checked.

Watch out with those laser beams they shelties can become OCD over them.

hiya,
you asked about eye sight and could he be impaired.
Kayla is blind, and has been since she was a year old. she uses things as ''markers'', like rub against the hottub and she knows the deck is just a leap away. rub against picnic table means the end of patio is just a few feet. to come in from the front yard, brush against the beam and leap to door. inside the house, she also has her markers, and i do not rearrange the rooms.
so i would watch him and see if he does any of these things
you would never know, she runs and plays with the others
i hope this may help a little
