Thank you corbinam. I'll be sure to give those tips a try. I don't want to drag him or pick him up all the time but sometimes being "pinned" to the middle of the driveway isn't exactly "fun" either.
One other thing, is there a sure fire way to teach them to climb stairs? Mozart backs away from all stairs unless he is on a leash. Then it's pretty much I go on 2-3 steps 10-15 minutes later he'll move just ONE single step up.
Down is even harder....nearly always end up have to carry him down. I use to have a Pomer and she went up and down stairs really fast no need to coax her at all.
