Leashes by Design-anyone have these leashes?

Hi all. I am looking for a short, thin, rolled leather leash like the ones shown at the Leashes by Design website. Does anyone have these? I would get a six strand plain one-nothing fancy at all, I just want a very light weight nice short leash that lasts forever. I DON'T want to pay a fortune.
I think the leather is the way to go, and it doesn't collect debri on our dirt road like the nylon ones do. Sandstorm drags his leash while playing on our dirt private road.
Thanks

Well, I should have searched on the forum before I posted my leash question!! I did find what I am looking for at J and J Dog supplies-nice, braided short leather leashes. The one I want is about $20.00, I wonder if the Leashes by Design is more expensive.

They are custom made to fit your dog in the color and style you select. Because of this they are going to be more expensive. Obviously, the simpler the design, the cheaper the color; the fancier you make it, the more costly.

You can always email them with what you are considering and ask how much it will cost.

I will say this, their leashes and collars (I have a Martingale style 5 foot lead for both my dogs from LBD) are of outstanding quality and, in my opinion, worth what I paid for them.

Definately more expensive.I have looked and drooled over the site, but cannot possibly afford even the simplest of design. It would be differant if only one dog to fit,but I have more than one.

I love the site, and many here have ordered custom martingales, leads, and are very satisfied. But as you found out, there are other sources.
Last year for Trapp's birthday I ordered the nicest braided martingale, and it is beautiful.Actually was done using 2 colors of leather, and it looks great still to this day.
Seems like the site was PawMark.I am going to look to get one for Jasper this year, since now I am sure he is done growing.

Thanks for the info, I did order a nice flat braided 3/8" wide and 30" long leather leash from J and J Dog supplies. It is just what I want- a nice, short, light weight walking leash that will last a long time. I do think the Leash by Design website is awesome, beautiful things there.

Leashes by Design never got back to me about designing a leash for Buffy. :( It's probably for the best - less money spent. I'll check out that other place instead. Buffy is pretty hard on her leashes and likes to nip at them, so she goes through them quickly. I would hate for her to mess up such an expensive one. I do like the idea of a braided martingale collar though. Our current collar leaves a mark in her fur. Ick.
