Level One Obedience!

Starting November 24th Caliber will be attending his first obedience class! :biggrin2:
I'm so excited! I have a feeling it's going to be a pretty easy 8 weeks! He's already familiar with the teacher, as he's had his ears glued by her a couple times(which I'm extremely thankful for! They've held up good so far!), and she did a little grooming session with him last time we were there! I shall keep everyone posted once he starts! If anyone has any suggestions of what I should do before we start, feel free to let me in on some tid-bits! Thanks! :smile2:

Great going TaraLynn

I'm sure Caliber will do fine and you will bond together well. I have to get Kiara to some classes as well but we have been pre-occupied with the health issues and eating up my Pocketbook!! Hopefully after the Holidays we can finally get there. I have been teaching her here at home as much as I can , Kia does have a stubborn streak in her though.:uhoh: But I love her greatly and want to be certain she learns to be a CGC.

so how's level 1 obedience?

im going to put bandit in that class, i hope he'll do fine
he's been through puppy kindergarten

Such a Bummer...

One girl....the third girl, backed out of the class last minute. You need three dogs to make it an official "class" - so the instructor couldn't do that class. So it's being postponed until January :(

I'm sooooo bummed, but she's going to give me some sheets to work on until then. Hey - it's something... :smile2:

what a bummer
bandit's going to obedience level 1, im very excited about it :)
i'd hate for that to happen on the first day :(

That's ashame, but at least it only got pushed back and not cancelled. I can't recall who mentioned it on another forum, but there are many good websites that discuss good starting points in regards to training your puppy. Also, The Art of Raising of a Puppy is a great reference as well to use in the meantime. Best of luck in January though.
