Lil' Lady and the Bumble Bee

Lady loves to sniff flowers. I didn't buy Diamond Frost flowers this year she has them all in her coat otherwise.

This year I bought a plant that has tube like flowers on it. What does Lil' Lady do? She sniffs the tube with a bumble bee inside. Now she has no idea her sniffing can cause problems, and this flower has a great scent.

She puts her nose in the tube, a bumble bee starts coming out. I said back up and her head is going again like a bobble head. I thought she is going to get stung. So now I have to watch her with this plant.

I have a number of flowers, and this is her favorite. It has to be the one that the bumble likes too, along with the butterflies.

I haven't even seen any bees yet but I had to take Max to the vet this morning. Last night I saw that his right eye was swollen underneath. Vet thinks he was stung by something! Poor little guy. He got a shot and now he has meds.

The bees are something around here. There were two areas not real close to me (thank goodness) everyone was told to drive with their windows closed.
They had to bring in bee keepers to gather the bees up they were so bad.

Awwww I hope Max is better ASAP. That is awful. I really was lucky with Lady. The bugs are really bad this year from a mild winter.

My sheltie ignores the bees BUT my mix Austliran Shepperd loves chasing bees. He seems to enjoy Bumble Bees the most. He will chase the bee and Eat It! Been stung, but doesn't seem to stop him. Just odd, not a herder of any sorts, Just a Bee Napper!

I love the name Bee Napper. Wouldn't you think they would learn? Well it only hurts for a minute Dad. Lil' Lady hasn't been stung yet. If she does oh she will be in my lap.
