Lipid keratopathy

My blue merle has lipid keratopathy.... fatty deposits on the eyes....

she is better since we finally found a food that has stopped her from squinting and not looking like her eys hurt... as medication from vet weren't working...

I am sorry to hear your baby has this. I had never heard of it affecting dogs before. My sweet Christopher was born with a small cataract in his right eye. Sometimes he squints too, like his eye hurts, and I always feel really bad for him and put drops in his eyes. Take care.

thanks for your reply, and I understand the squinting, it does look like it hurts... poor babies....

this eye issue my girl has seems to be in a lot of shelties, collies and other herding breeds
 
I am so sorry to hear this. Sometimes you just wish our pups could talk. We always think the worse and it would be nice if they could say It!s not so bad!! :)
