Looking for a female sheltie,pup or mature, Companion for our current Sheltie. ,

Hi. We have a sheltie we love, Fainly, 3 1/2 years old, and have already said on these forums that we hoped to find another adult Sheltie to be a companion for him. We have now decided a puppy would be perhaps a better fit, and we are figuring we can do the whole house training thing again. Anyone know of a sheltie, pup or mature, to join us? Fainly is a male so we are looking for a female, who will be spayed, to be his good friend. Thank you very much, if you can give us any leads.

Best of luck and I agree that a pup would be a good addition..like potato chips you can't just have one Sheltie. Puppy training is a bit of a pain and sometimes frustrating but remember it is all water soluble. We got a Hoover spot vac that has been a really great clean up tool for all sorts of messes. The biggest problem is finding a Sheltie breeder-- there aren't that many depending on where you live. Because they are more rare it is hard to get in line for a pup and wait, and it can be expensive as well. We were very lucky with our latest crew. I wish you the best of luck and don't give up trying to find a new addition.

Well, maybe the situation is going to resolve itself in another way. My son owns the house next to us just a short distance away, and a young couple with a small dog are going to move in shortly. We haven’t been introduced yet, but will be, and we are hoping the small dog will be a suitable friend for our pup. We both have front and back fenced yards, so it may work out just perfectly for all. We’ll know before long.
