Lump on her boob

Because it's still smooth, fairly mobile, he thinks it's an infection in the gland. With her being 9 (and extremely overweight), we're hestitant to put her under. It's something that we're discussing.
 
My Danny is 9 too and we discontinued with teeth cleaning for that reason. The vet should know, right? Would an xray help in determining what it is? Of course the vet would have done that if it would. Will say a prayer for everyone.
