So Angus is getting better at fetch but after a few times he stops drops the ball and either pees on it or very close. Needless to say neither he nor I want that ball then LOL Is he just marking?

Angus is still quite young isn't he...Piper didn't start marking until around 7-8 months old. Could be that he just had to drop everything and have a quick pee lol? At least he's getting better at fetch but maybe he's got to learn not to pee so close to the ball lol. Either that or your gonna have to bring a spare

Maybe he just wants to tell that it's his ball - Not very wise, but it works

7 months now and I do think he is claiming it though hard to tell. A spare is a good idea in case he is doing it as 'and we're done' LOL

I agree—I probably wouldn’t want to switch to a new ball. I bet it won’t take him long to learn that if he pees on the ball the fun game is over.

Oh it is over. He is kind of short on attention span still and only good for a few fetches. I need to put Spitfire up this weekend and do some cookie training outside with him.
