Meet Foster dog Pamela

OMG Pamela is adorable, super cute! This is one foster dog I'd be sorely tempted to keep, based on her description, size and pictures! Enjoy your time with her. I've had my foster dogs really add joy and meaning to my life. I've also met some great folks (adopters) along the way.

Please let us know how it all works out for this cutie pie.

I would really like to keep her. She fits in nicely w/ my Shelties. But, I promised my husband if I fostered a dog I wouldn't keep it. I'll have to make up some story about something like aggression or uncurable mange so nobody will want to adopt her.

Ah, at my shelter you would be called a potential "foster failure"! It happens a lot. Maybe given a little time your hubby won't be able to imagine life without her.

The longest I've had a foster was about a month, and those two really wormed their way into my heart by then, but both went to fabulous homes. Asta and Ally are very tolerant, but they get totally jealous and are just as happy when the foster leaves!

Bummer. Someone is already interested in her. She sounds like she'd be a really great dog owner too. Fenced in backyard, works from home and she's had BC mixes before. I guess I'll be nice and tell her what a great dog Pamela is.
Rusty and Finley have been mostly well behaved w/ Pamela but, I'm sure they will be glad to see her go.

I guess that just opens your home up to a new foster :biggrin2:

I would really love to foster someday. As soon as I am able to....I will

Pamela was adopted this past weekend! I really like the new owner. They will be very happy together. We were all sad to say good bye even though we had her only a week.
I was planning to wait until after spring break to get another foster. But, wouldn't you know a Sheltie mix was turned into the rescue. Before I could stop myself I typed out an email saying "I'll take her!!!". Apparently her owners are moving and don't want to take her w/ them. At least they didn't take her to a shelter. What is the matter w/ people? I'll post pictures when I get her. Hopefully in the next day or two.

 I'm so glad your first foster was a good experience, and now you have the bug! :biggrin2: It is so nice to know you absolutely made a difference in a dog's life. I think it's an amazing feeling. So glad you are open to fostering another right away.

These things often come up at inconvenient times, but we've just worked through it and it's so worth it.

Let's see your new one when you get her!
