Denise Fenzi's new book (#2 in the series) is out, Motivation.

Just ordered my copy. Shelties are easy to motivate! I usually only need my voice and happy attitude. I was contacted by a lady with a Swiss Mtn. Dog, and I had to tell her, I'm not the right person to help her as I don't understand the bigger, slower, independent breeds.

I don't need a book, I just need cheese.

Just kidding, of course. Thanks for letting us know. I will look into it! I'm still waiting on the new Developing Jumping Skills book by LM .

My library will probably start switching over... I've got 12 Weave Poles in 12 Days (yeah, right ... ) :smile2: and I'll be ordering more from Clean Run than Dogwise.... ;)

Once I was naieve, thought all I needed to train a dog was a collar and a leash. Then came cookies, then added a clicker, then a verbal marker, then gadgets and gizmos aplenty, touch sticks and minders galore... thingabobs, I've got plenty, but who cares no big deal, I want more...

Opss, 'cuse me, started to channel the Little Mermaid...

Um, what I mean is, I'm always sure that the next big thing is out there ~ but actually all I really need is a collar and leash, and my common sense, good timing, and know how to read my dog, and of course, cheese, chicken and mini-marshmallows. ;)

They're selling book 1 and 2 as a bundle for $40, plus $13 shipping. The books are $24 on their own. Have you read the first one? Was it any good?

My "grotto" of dog training books and supplies is certainly growing... just trying to be the best I can be!

It was good, but I admit I only skimmed it. I've been bronze level in several of. Her classes, and she came to do a weekend workshop, and got to have the theories of the book presented in person. I like her very much, but she becomes part of the trainer I am, instead of blindly trying to be her .
