Mr Toffee and our FIRST Q

Mr Toffee is the man! Running in that hot sun must be a challenge. My dogs only want to sleep by air conditioner when it is hot outside.
I am curious about amazing differences you finding and how your learning is changing. Would love to hear your input! Having friends and trainers support is just the best!

It is AMAAAAAYYYYYZING how different things are when you are IN a trial compared to fun matches and classes, it is worth the learning process, that's for sure. Toffee is only half his normal speed and drive and this was actually his first outdoor trial, and 4th ever trial...
It was SOOO hot at the end in the sun... lol, but we were in the FIRST and LAST course of the day... what are the chances? lol

What a wonderful video,especially your Q. i am sitting here with tears streaming down my face I am so so happy for you.

Brian sat and watched it also,and got a real giggle out of Toffee coming out of the tunnels..(((gee is it ok to come out..peeking)) Just so happy for you both!!

It was so hot and last run of the day I was surprised he had any steam at all left, nevermind that we Q'd
It was such a long way for us to get over his dog reactivity and not having his brain fried at the end of a day that this Q made it even more special. I always say the highlight is the stuff that happens outside of the ring... and him holding his stay even tho people were kinda too close to him at the gate.
He is one of the few dogs that doesn't mind when the handler talk too much, LOL . He normally holds his line (knock on wood) even when I speak to him... I figure I use it so that he knows he's doing a good job and try to get him to speed up since he was SO SLOW, which he isn't normally!
It will come as his confidence grows, because at fun matches and class he's pretty speedy
