my furry little stalker....

Doesn't it strike you all that the dogs in our lives love us stinky, while the people in our lives, don't!:rolleyes2:

I now know who I can count on, day in, day out! The creature who loves me just as I am!

Poor Laika follows me everywhere. She is always nearby. Aztec has very much a "herd" mentality...so he is on the move most of the time. He checks up on everyone making rounds. If everyone is in the same room, he is content to rest there.

He also lays outside the bathroom no matter who is in there (even guests). I will never forget a little boy who was quite frightened of Aztec and told me that Aztec "was trapping him in the bathroom!" (the boy was about three).

I have learned though, that if I tell the dogs "I'll be right back!" they are content to wait for me for a few minutes.

i LOVE my dog it's the privacy issue that gets me i mean i'll be laying in the tub and then all of a sudden *CREAK!* door flys open and here comes the dog with his tongue hanging out all happy and wagging his tail lol. my grand dad's the only one with the main issue on the non moveable dog lol we're pretty good about it i've gotten to the point that i step over him if he just looks at me. but yeah i guess it is just a sheltie thing!

After 30+ years of having shelties around I've gotten used to the fact that I have absolutely no privacy anytime, anywhere.

We live our lives stepping over Shelties. They love to lay in doorways! And always wherever our feet are about to go....they line up right under the couch (when they aren't ON the couch of course) so you can't possibly put your feet down. I am usually crawling to the very end to avoid stepping on a furkid.

And trust me, with four in the house it's quite the obstacle course....:rolleyes2:

Plus..with mine I make a fool outta myself and say "beep beep" so they get outta the way..LOL

lol - I do the beep beep sound too! My dogs tend to get out from under my feet as I have chronic vertigo and fall over a lot.

If anyone ever asks me why I got a sheltie it is because they are a 'velcro' dog. Permanently stuck to their owner.

Plus I think it is a dog thing wanting to be near items that smell most like the things they love. Deska is always lying at my feet. And lets face it, they greet their friends by sniffing butt, so I guess our clothes are the closest to butt sniffing they can get to us!

Aonghus is the same way. He feels that he must join me in the bathroom, he even tries to sit on my lap! He wants to drink my bathwater and he sleeps on my clothes (that he has pulled from the hamper) by my bedroom door (inside the room) and guards me from everything! Nothing goes on in the house that he doesn't alert me to. It's kinda like sleeping with a car alarm. But I love him and all his quirks!

lol he drinks my bathwater too! and licks my feet/ legs if they're in nose distance when he sticks himself over the tub. he lays down right at the side of the tub so when i get out instead of just stepping out i have to like leap out of the tub so i dont step on him. god knows he wont move lol. i'm home alone alot at night so the "car alarm" is nice :D helps me know what/ who's outside.thing is he barks at thunder and lightning....and he tends to snap at people who come near me. he's never bit any one mind you. he just HATES it when people touch me...except for my boyfriend...him he actually likes...but if my dad or grandma mom or brother's come near me he gets his nose right into it. and if people come over it's just as bad he doesnt stop barking even if we tell him to hush! but it's mainly with certain people....when they come from certain racial backgrounds....is this just a dog thing too? or is he just racist?
