My interesting pre-run and run

Well, needless to say, it was another frustrating weekend. But enough of about that. On Monday, Koji was kinda laid back and not so energetic and I thought, wow, we could get our first STD Q. That would be cool. So, as we're waiting, he's still kinda mellow and I'm trying not to get excited or stressed. The dog before us goes in. I'm literally at the gate, waiting for him to get to the point where I can go in. And................

what does Koji do? Poor little guy throws up. Hack, hack, vomit. So as I'm worried and trying to open a baggie up to pick it up, he.....hack, hack, vomit again. Oh, poor thing!!! The strange thing was that not ONE single person even acknowledged me and my dog. I thought for sure someone would say something, anything. Nada. Wow.

I had about 15-20 seconds before I had to go in (okay, I was happy the dog before us screwed up his weaves, because that meant extra time). I wasn't sure if I should go run, or not. But.......all of a sudden, Koji seemed much peppier. Of course he did. :rolleyes2: Most people/animals probably feel 100x better AFTER vomiting. So we ran.

Well, we kinda ran. He was crazy hyper. He refused the weaves, then popped out. Then popped out again. Then was barking at me. I put him in a sit and by the time he sat, the judge had said "thank you". I said thanks back and walked off. OMG!!!

So, first it was "poor Koji". Then it became crazy Koji. What a run.....or non-run if you will.

Kojii popping the weaves tells me adjustment.

Oh My, I am not sure how I would have handled that one myself, especially the upchucking at the gate, that probably would have been it for me as well, not sure I would have been able to run after that. I probably would have cleaned it up, gagging all the time and passed on the run if it had of been Cosmo. I don't do Vomit well at all, never have & probably never will, you would think after 3 kids and numerous dogs you would get used to it but not me.

Sorry things didn't go well for you on the run especially after that .

I have to admit, I'm surprised after 3 kids and numerous dogs, you're not used to it. LOL. I wasn't sure if I should have run, so I was just watched Koji's actions and body language. I only went because all of a sudden, he was perky, excited, ready to go. I figured, why not. Let's just go have fun. All the while, crossing my fingers hoping he doesn't vomit again...in the ring. I figured if he was slow and consistent, he probably doesn't feel good still and I would have ended it. But he was a crazy boy....and he wanted to have some fun!

Kojii

If he was half focused, I'd agree. But when he's this not focused, it's simply him not wanting to do his "job". Basically, he wanted to bark at me instead.

I don't agree with you and this is JMO.When was the last time he was adjusted. It should be done every 6 weeks. He may not be focused because he is out.

Well, we can agree to disagree.....and I say this because of his weave performance during the entire weekend
