My pups head seems extremely sensitive to bumps and bruises!

I have noticed that when my girl Cali bumps into things around the house or while out playing, the area swells up pretty fast. Even when she only bumps into it a little bit.. Like if she turns around real fast in the hallway while trying to keep up with me and might clip a table leg or something and its usually in her jaw area that swells up pretty quickly. Is this a normal sheltie thing? I have noticed it in the past and it never seems to bother her and will go away in a day or two so I was just curious if anybody else has come across this? We were just outside playing frisbee and she turned her head on the disc just a bit too late and it struck her in what seemed to be the side of her face and now she has a big knot kinda on the side but under her bottom jaw. My poor girl seems to be the biggest klutz sometimes!

nobody else with a clumsy pup?! Cali's jaw bump had gone almost completely down by bed time, but she seems to get hurt so easy! I guess the whack was a bit harder then I thought it was going to be!

I haven't seen my girls bump into too many things. Marlie is the youngest and she is a lot crazier than the other two. She does bump into things every now and again, I guess I just haven't noticed any bumps. Now I will be checking if she bumps into anything! I will let you know if she gets any lumps or bumps!

Sadie is constantly falling and bumping into things but I can't say I've seen any part of her swell.

When she was young I stepped on her paw really hard and she limped around for weeks but it never swelled. I took her for xrays and confirmed that it was bruised.
