We were just to the vet this past week and he said you need to brush a minimum of 3 times a week to see results. We were doing 3 times and she still has some plaque on her very back teeth. Now we are brushing daily.

I have a tooth brush with two different size brushes on each end. I use the big end for overall brushing then I use the small end to brush those trouble areas.

I like the carrot suggestion. Shelby love carrots.

Hi Debbie, another suggestion, between brushings, as a treat, give your baby carrots. Because of the way the dogs have to "hold" them to bite them, it gets to the back teeth and helps to clean off the plaque in those hard to get to areas. I was feeding the little baby carrots but vet said they weren't big enough to reach all the way to the back. Hope this helps.
