My first question, before I answer more completely, is what do you mean by sensitive stomach? What are the symptoms? And are there any skin related symptoms as well?

Sorry, I just saw your response as to the issues you are facing on your other post.

I'm struggling with a response here, I guess because of the violent reactions your Westie is having. Allergies are one thing....but vomiting blood, etc. suggests that the dogs has ingested something....perhaps several times....

So now I'm going to ask the poop question. What do they look like? Do you see any other "matter" in the poop? Is it soft or hard?

I ask simply because last year Indy started vomitting continuously and his poop was bigger....and that's when I discovered he was chowing down on bird food from my bird feeder.....

His stools are normal and solid I go out with them everytime I let them out to make sure he's not eating anything which I'm not sure what he would be eating because we have a fenced in yard and there are no plants he can get to and he doesn't eat the grass. The vet doesn't even have any answers but my breeder suggested to switch to a more digestable diet.

Late reply...

My wife and I feed our 7.5 month old sheltie Natural Balance LID Duck and Potato formula! Millie does GREAT on it. Ever since we started feeding her this food her stool is ALWAY healthy! We'll be using natural balance until millie gets sick of it!

I dont know much of anything about dog food But all we know is that Millie loves her food and shes digesting it really well and its a brand that our vet is recommending here in korea. There are better/ organic dog foods we could probably buy but for now, this seems to be good for Millie.

Our Robbie had sensitive stomach issues when we first got him through Minnesota Sheltie Rescue when he was just a year old. He is now 4 1/2. We tried all kind of things from special foods purchased from the vet and very expensive supplements of pro-biotics. We finally realized that he was probably grain intolerant - and going on that assumption we started feeding Natural Balance limited ingredient foods, particularly the sweet potato and venison and the sweet potato and bison. We also began to use "Vibrant Pets" supplement formula. Those things did the trick. He has had no digestive issues in well over two years, although he is still a picky eater. Needless to say, we are advocates for both Natural Balance and Vibrant Pets. Give both a try. We wish you well. Regards, Will
