Need advice

Yeah, I like my vet except for their choice in pet food. When my cat was having bathroom issues, I asked what I should be feeding him and she told me she thought it was a behavior thing and that Purina was fine because that's what she feeds all her pets. Well I didn't listen and I switched his food to a much better quality and stayed away from Purina (which is what he was on), and no more issues. So I'm sure with Cleo I would get a lecture.

There are always gonna be different camps and schools of thought. Find yourself support for your personal choices. It is a lot like Drs...you have the ones that are more pharma oriented and the ones that detest anything the pharma industry promotes. Some think diet helps, but others think a natural more organic diet is a fad. Food isn't created equal these days. I choose to feed the most basic, untainted food I can find, because I think it is highly important. I see a Vet that encourages raw-let me add that he didn't start his practice that way, he wasn't getting the desired results so he became holistic to offer alternatives in his practice that had better success. Go with your gut, and make choices that you can live with. And tell the Vet the lecture isn't necessary because both camps can bring reams of info on the topic supporting both sides. Why debate?
