New houseful from Austin, TX

Hello, all:
I find everyone's chat very helpful and have already used several tips.
We have one rescue sheltie mix, one free-to-good-home lovie boy barksalot, and one puppy I bought last year. I find I have to defend buying a puppy: she's my first! (After rescuing and loving cast-off shelties for years, I wanted to have myself one for me, without any weird quirks. Ha! She's the quirkiest of all!)
We love our three "kids" but still cry over losing our previous two to age and disease. I guess you never get over losing dogs. That's another story.
I like reading YOUR sheltie stories and look forward to participating in this Forum.

Hello! I live just south of Austin in San Marcos! I have my second rescue sheltie; I lost my beloved AnnaBelle in April. Daisy is now taking up residence in my home...she is a great dog and I am lucky to have found her.
