No. 4383 Sable Male Council Bluff Pound IA

I emailed the only sheltie rescue I could find in Iowa. I reread poor Lucky's post and they have a very small pound and cannot keep the dogs as long as they want. So time us if the essence. I emailed the pound and told them I was working on getting him into rescue. May call them next if I don't hear from rescue soon.
 
Quick update. Good thing I called the pound. Lucky is going up for adoption today at 1 pm. Numerous people have shown interest. They do not give their dogs to rescue unless last resort. Hardly any are ever euthanized there but Lucky will either be adopted or if not they will call rescue. Wew.... Told me to call back in a few days to check up on his status. Said there are lots of sheltie lovers in Iowa.
 
Hope Lucky finds his new home and it sounds promising with many people showing interest. I mapped Lucky’s location and he is right on the Nebraska line. If rescue becomes the last resort, I have these rescues in his area. I have not contacted any of these folks and I do not know the statues of their facility. Fingers crossed Luck finds his new home today.

Thanks Mike. I sent an email to Iowa rescue where it was promptly sent back saying failure to deliver. So I sent one to Central IA rescue. Will have to wait and see if the little guy gets adopted soon. They want to adopt him themselves.
 
I have someone in Red Oak IA that would be glad to help get him adopted or get him themselves. My friends in Red Oak have 1 of my shelties & love her. Let me know & I will contact them. Red Oak is only about 48 miles from Council Bluff.
 
Yeah for Lucky! He sure needs brushed. I'd still to kick the previous owner in the butt for dumping him at the shelter because 'he didn't want him any more' Lame! Thanks for the update Danny's mom.
