Blue Buffalo Wilderness Diet, chicken flavor. The info is on VIN NEWS SERVICE(news.vin.com) A dozen dogs testing positive for hypercalcemia and vitamin D toxicosis occuring in dogs that eat this dry pet food.

Viatmin D toxicity or hyprviatminosis D, induces bone loss, high calcium levels, calcification of organs like heart and kidneys if left untreated.

Hyprcalcemia is associated with kidney cancer, and lymphoma.

It states in this report this person was feeding her dog Buffalo Wilderness chicken and turkey dry food for two weeks, and changed brands because of ill effects. The result was dramatic and the dog improved within 24 hours.

The reason I got into this food because someone had brought it up, with these problems.

Experts in the field feel like there are more dogs then just this dozen having problems, but owners are not making the connection with the dog food.

The dogs are just drinking and peeing alot.

The VIN NEWS has the article and its quite interesting.
