Caro, use my line of thinking I am not disabled they are just different.

Absolutely. It's other people's barriers that disable us, I just do things differently.

And all that matters is I'm not hurting anyone and Kismet and I are having fun.

We've just been running non-comp for the practice as we get kept down because of my disability and Kis is bored (did I ever mention I was banned from agility at the club I instruct because I have a disability). But that day I didn't run non-comp because I got screeched at by some other competitors to get away from them, that I shouldn't be there and should just leave. One of those women was also running novice - the b* DQd and we got First place in both runs (although we got a fault in jumping because Kis decided to jump on the judge and beg for treats). I didn't stay to pick up the ribbons because I didn't realise we'd come first. Anyway, I saw the rude people last Tues at my old club and none of them said a word this time. Mind you, no apology either.

that's very sad that you were banned for no good reason......

I sit here shaking my head about this, Caro. I think any dog sports should be about the fun we can have with our dogs, and that people would want exclude someone with a disability is pathetic. It's on them.

yeah- he has a lot of white on his tail- especially when compared to the brown dogs. they only had a little white at the very tip......

Wow Caro, sounds to me like you’d have a case for discrimination based on your disability. At the very least it might shut those ladies up! That’s just disgusting and absolutely uncalled for! Heck, even here you can trial your dog in obedience/rally and I’m sure agility if your disabled. In this day and age that shouldn’t happen anymore.
