Hi folks!

Well, our new pupy Jack, who has been nothing but trouble since we got him a couple weeks ago, has hit some sort of a milestone.
About 3 days ago he & I had our worst day yet. he seemed terrified of me (more than usual) -he was very aggressive, biting, etc.
the next day he warmed up to my wife very quickly & started playing with her & the other dogs (except the alpha -Joy).
He was still very shy with me however.
Yesterday morning he came out of his cage for me to do his morning ritual -we spent some time on the bed cuddling & playing.
he now seems to realize that I'm his friend & will protect him from any and all.
We've taken down the wire pen around his crate downstairs; now he just has the 2 crates & the bed (it seems) as his safe spots -he is off the leash while out of his crate & following us around the house.
Next will be setting up the pen out in the yard to get him used to being free outdooors. (he still has a VERY strong flee mechanism).

we are "SO" relieved & happy -now we just have to get him feeling more comfortable off the bed & roaming around the house.
thank you everybody for your advice & kind words regarding Jack.

Here is a pic of Jack on the bed with his new best buddy Gage (Gage is the submissive dog in the pack & seems happy to know where he stands finally).

I'm so happy to hear that Jack is doing so much better. Sounds like things will be progressing daily for him. Soon he will understand the world is a happy place, and he has a wonderful, loving family.

Love the picture of him and Gage--so cute. They both look very comfortable.

Mr Jack def has a twinkle in his eyes spelling " trouble is coming":smile2:
glad to hear you keep working on him, I know it is always seems like a dance... one step forward two steps back but eventually things fall in place

Thanks for the update! I have been thinking about you guys.

I am so glad to hear that he is coming around. Sometimes things just "click" with these guys.

Look forward to hearing about some more progress in the future.

Glad he is coming around, but I hate to say this - you have a troublemaker there. He has the same look in his eye that Liam does and he really does lead me a life, even though he is my cuddler.

keep us updated on his progress.

thanks for the heads up

Yeah - Jack is a cuddler as well -probably due to his fear issues.

And YES!! I can already tell he's going to be a handfull.

still working on getting him to stay down on the floor with the other dogs -he instantly flees behind the couch at any sign of excitement.
