I knew you could do it, CJ! You are a Sheltie, that means you are super smart. You learned a lot in just 6 weeks and I'm proud of you little girl. I'm proud of your Dad too since he did the majority of the hard work.
Oh dear! I have my CGC Test tonight!

OK CJ,
I am getting ready for my CGC test in a week or so. Mom has been working on the obedience and rally for months (8 classes so far). I really like the classes (sepecially the Rally and agility {You will too CJ if you get into it!}) I think I can do this test but I like to bark at anything that moves because I just want to play, play, play. I am just 1 and love the sound of my voice! (I don't think mom likes it so much!)
What words of wisdom can you give me CJ, since you already passed your test. My mom is planning on joining that group: Paws for People. You know so I can go into the schools and libraries so those little kids can read to me. (They better not pull my hair either!). How long was the test? Did you get a certificate too? I got the Star Puppy medal. My mom puts it on me for pictures. (Thank goodness she doesn't make me wear it out~) Well better head outside for my favorite patch of grass.

I passed mine at 10 months old. I'm a hyper, crazy barking sheltie. If I can pass, any dog can. The trick to passing was tiring me out. Mom took me to the park for a few hours before the test. I was too tired to bark or act like a crazy girl. The hardest part for me was "reaction to distraction." The evaluator ran past me. It was so hard not to lunge and bark at her. Mom just kept saying "Bailey, watch me, watch me...." I didn't even notice the evaluator. Good luck Keely!

Wow! Really? At one? And Bailey at 10 months?
Sheesh, I really don't know what to say. It took me until I was almost 4 to take it and pass.
Um...well Bailey had some good pointers. Concentrate on Mom and usually things'll be O...K. And don't be afraid to have fun practicing.
But the test wasn't so hard. Dad is my whole life right now and I'll do anything for him and to hear his gentle, "good girl."Best of luck Keely! *noses*

Don't sell yourself short, little girl. You lived with Aunt Cathy until 2 months ago and because you were supposed to be a show dog she didn't teach you sit, down, heal, come front, or anything else you learned in just 6 weeks.
You are one bright little Sheltie gal.
