I tried Orijen Regional Red and 6fish.... my sheltie was doing well on both, but I think he was a bit itchy while feeding RR formula. We also tried Acana once -lamb and apple- and it didn't work at all for him. He had a horrible diarrhoea that didn't get better even if I fed him just small amount of food. It was weird since he's used to eating meat and high protein diets. I guess it might've been allergy.
Agree with corbinam. Definitely larger bones, it works perfectly. He doesn't really chew much when eating his kibble, so bones are great. I've also discussed this with many other owners and they said the same - bones are the best for teeth care.
So what would you recommend for "tartar control"?
