Well, a while ago I posted that my Bryan had a horrible pancreatitis attack. Poor baby had to be given water by the spoonful and was so sick. He recovered and we were told to put him on a homemade low fat diet - which included brown rice. Long story short, he felt better it seemed but he had the runs daily and so on (I'll spare you the entire long story). We switched him to Royal Canin Gastrointestinal low fat - and it has been brilliant! He LOVES it, his poop is normal, he's running around like a crazy puppy (He's 6 1/2), has the energy he had years ago, it's like night and day! When he was first diagnosed his QPL was 386. Normal is 0-200. This blood test last week showed it now 250. The vet said he will probably always be 'chronic', as they never get cured fully, but he is doing VERY well. Next blood test to keep on top of it is in 8-12months. We celebrated with a 45minute walk yesterday. When we got home he sat down for about 5 minutes and then wrestled with his brother as if nothing had happened. Larry, his brother, loves the Royal Canin food so we're giving him a few of the kibbles in his bowl as well so he's not going after Bryan's bowl. The drama! lol
