Fred's been peeing on Riley's pillow almost every day for the past week and half. He did it a couple of times before but we thought it was just an accident. But lately, even if we had just taken him out, he'll run inside lay on Riley's pillow, get up and there's a giant wet spot!! We almost never see him do it, because he just lays there, never squats! He's 4 months old, so I don't know if he's trying to mark it or what. I actually have no idea why he does it. Anyone ever experience this? He's been good not peeing in the house, and like I said, it almost always happens within 10-30mins of him having been outside. And it always happens in the evening.

I'm not certain but it sounds like he's either just attempting to claim the spot as his or trying to be Alpha male.

--and your best one yet, IMO! (I swear we need a thread of Chrisisms just to make us chuckle!!) I must remember to share it with my husband whose bed Barkley has decided he should pee on too. It isn't bad enough that Bill is usually relegated to the spare bedroom because all three dogs take up his side of the master bed with me.
Bill is NOT happy when, just before retiring, he discovers that lovely wet spot that goes right down to the mattress 
We now have all the bedrooms gated off and I'll try the vinegar thing. Thanks, Jodie!

I've said it before....I'm going to start collecting Chris's quotes and turn it into a Sheltie dictionary or something. Pee-mail is top of the list. You so totally crack me up!
p.s. on a more serious note....is it possible that pup is dribbling? When Bacca was a little younger, I noticed that he did not always empty his bladder fully when he went out in the morning....to excited to take on the day, or something....and he would often need to pee 10 minutes after I first took him out. Just a thought.
