Pensacola agility- last trial of 2019

I really enjoy watching your videos! Congrats to Jocu! Dixie is so cute to watch - literally just pops way up in the air over jumps! I watched some others this morning that were from Rally on Nov 10 from a thread I opened last night but cannot find to reply to this morning. Just a thank you for posting your videos! How much time do you spend training and how long have you been at it? Does Cranberry do only Rally?

Cranberry has issues with knowing where the bar is to know how to jump it. In rally, we approach the jumps at a slower pace so usually he can get over them ok. originally if the dog dropped the bar in rally, it was an NQ but they changed the rules so it's now an incorrect performance and you will lose 10 points but you can still qualify. It took Cran 6 years to get his 3rd Q in AKC novice jumpers with weaves. he competed a few more times after that but it really stresses him because he wants to do well but just can't. Dixie also has issues with knowing where the bar is - not as bad as Cran- but that's why she overjumps too. She measures into 16" jumps but she's competing in Preferred and only jumping 12".
The Nov 10 rally videos are in the road trip thread. we'll be posting a couple more videos so it will show back up in the new posts.....
Dixie has her Rally excellent title but to get the RAE, RM or Rach, she'd have to do indoor rally trials and she doesn't appreciate those trials- she forgets everything and loses focus so she's mostly retired from rally and obedience. she gets to play at our club trial since it's outdoors but only in non-regular classes (team and brace). Cran does well in rally no matter where we are- his focus in the ring is pretty good. he can get distracted but he'll still stay with me.
Cran does some obedience too but we have to get back to heeling without talking and helping like he gets in rally..........
we don't spend as much time practicing as we should.....
we did better when we were in classes but there aren't any at the moment......
Cran and Dix started competing in rally and agility in 2011. I did get a rally novice title on my rescue sheltie so that was 2009-2010.
