Perhaps an eye infection?

Precious's eyes has had a bit of 'eye booger' from time to time but it was always a thing that would come and go and I didnt think much of it. But it's been 2 months now and it hasnt gotten worse or any better. Is this something I should be concerned about??

Pudding has had an eye infection once but looked more very green in color and just very runny and when taken to the vet they said it wasn't anything big and it did indeed go away.

Precious's eye has white 'booger' look things, that aren't watery or runny like tears but are more so like 'sticky' mucus. Sometimes when I wipe her eyes they like "slime" out all together and then it clears up but sometimes I can't and its in her eyes. It doesn't seem to be bugging her, it doesnt seem to be of strange color or odor but it seems weird that its in her eyes every now and then. One weird characteristic though is that when I examine her eyes and run my fingers lightly over her eyelids to look at the eye better, the mucus sometimes like... 'bubbles' and 'pops'. I know it's weird to explain but its like air bubbles or something in soapy baths where they pop and reform....... O_O Could it be her food (does this happen from diets??)

She has it again today so I decided to finally take some pictures and ask on SN since I've learned a lot from experienced sheltie owners here. Hopefully someone can give me some insight and if it is indeed something I have to make a vet appointment for (they charge per visit so I didn't want to go for being paranoid and overly concerned).

Here are the pictures of her eyes:

It looks like it could be normal discharge. Some dogs just get that clear mucusy build up especially if they had deep set eyes. Puppies will often get eye discharge when they are teething. The roots of the big 4th premolar sit really close under the tear ducts/eye. Her eyes don't look red or cloudy but it is hard to see in pictures.

My rec is if you are concerned take her to your vet and have her checked out. It is so hard to see clearly in pictures and eyes are nothing to mess with.

I agree -- a vet check is always smart, especially with eyes. Our Bitsy Boodle suffers from allergies, so right now she has a lot of discharge, too. Please let us know what your vet says.

What food do you have her on? I noticed that when Liam, in particular, and to some extent Emma, was on Taste of the Wild, he had a very distinct eye discharge. It has cleared up since I switched to another food.
